Social Media Policies

Hi everyone, a new blog post would be update again in today.and the topic I would like to discuss is social media policies.

It is very important of having social media response policies for every organization. This is because every content of your post will immediately influence your company image and reputation. Therefore, a organization should set up a social media policies for their employee to avoid any action will arouse quarrel from customer. In business, customer satisfaction always the important part to run your business. I will list down some example of social media policies in Adidas at below :

  • Every employee involve in social media response should have great knowledge about the information of organization. Thus, they can solve any queries from customer on social media.
    E.g : Employee of Adidas have been train to be familiar to their organization and they must have great knowledge about their organization. Therefore, they can help to solve customer queries and problem of product and service.

  • Employee shouldn't ever try to delete post of customer. This is because every feedback from customer can help to improve product and service. Besides, it also show disrespect to the customer.
    E.g : Employee of Adidas never delete any post of customer and always appreciate their feedback and comment.


  • Employee should be professional on reply customer comment. For example, be polite and have good attitude toward customer, use formal language instead of causal language. Do not use any fault language and rude to your customer because it will ruined your organization reputation.
    E.g : All Adidas' employee reply customer in formal way, they use formal language instead of casual language. Besides that, they should never use fault language to reply customer.

  • Last but not least, employee must not allow to disclose content pertaining to sensitive company information.
    E.g :Adidas have a social media policy about employee are prohibited in divulging information like the company's design plants, internal operations and legal matters .

Viral Video

Hi everyone, today topic is about going viral in new media. First of all, what is viral mean? Viral means something that can attract people to reach high view. Besides that, it can share easily and cross platform sharing such as share Youtube video on Facebook. 

Before i explain why video above is viral, let me just briefly talk about the content of the video. The video is created by Pepsi. In this video, a race car driver name Jeff Gordon pretend himself as a normal person. After that, he went to buy a new car and going to test drive with the sales person. In the test drive, he show his expert driving skill and the sales person is totally scare and afraid.

Why this video is considered as viral video?

  • First, it have high view. The total view of this video is 44,493,578. It also the highest view in the Pespi YouTube channel.
     
  • Second, this video become popular because it had been share by many platform such as Reddit, YouTube, Facebook and etc. This video really attract many people interest to share and discuss about it.
  • Last but not least, it is kind of funny video because of the sales person reaction in the test drive. He even spoke out vulgar word and threaten Jeff Gordon.

What make it viral?
  • Authenticity, Gordon. Jeff Gordon use a cam in Pespi Can to shoot the reaction of the sales person and he didn't know about the can cam. Therefore, reaction of the sales person is real.
  • Humor, people will share this video because it is very funny. The sales person‘s facial expression, body language and words are hilarious while he is completely panic and afraid in test drive with Jeff Gordon. I think this is the most terrible test drive in his life. HAHA
  • Impressive, apart from the sales person, the driving skill of Jeff Gordon is impressive. He make many perfect drift move in the video. After the sales person know the driver is Jeff Gordon, he willing to do again.
I think Pespi had make a good viral video to promoting their their brand and their product, Pespi Max.

Hi, today i would like to share the topic is about
The New Roles of New Media Communication.

I have discuss how new media changed the field of mass communication in the previous post, i hope it give you some information about new media. Today, i will carry on to discuss what is the new roles of new media communication.

In fact, new media have created some job opportunity such as social media executive and webmaster. The main purpose of this post is to compare the social media executive, webmaster and public relation executive.

What is social media executive
A social media executive is someone whose main duties include the creation of content that focus on digital branding duties and engages customers. It also includes the live coverage of various events. From time to time, I directly have conversations with customers on our various social media pages. 

What does a social media executive do?

  • work either for one brand or employer, or for an agency handling loads of different brands
  • spent most of their day on social media network (Twitter and Facebook)
  • make posts, tweets and various online public announcements on behalf of a brand that brand's social media platform


What is webmaster
A webmaster is a person responsible for maintaining one or many websites. The webmaster provide the service of ensuring that the website serve, hardware and software are operate correctly, designing the website, generating and revising web page, replying user comment and etc.

What does a webmaster do?

  • hosting and serve maintenance
  • troubleshooting
  • programming
  • web design
  • marketing and SEO (Search Engine Optimization)
What is public relation executive
Public relation executives manage the information between organisations or individuals and the general public. Public relations executives create publicity campaigns, plan special events and communicate with the media.

What does a public relation executive do?

  • liaising on a daily basis with client and media, often via telephone and email
  • researching,writing and distributing the press release to target media
  • monitoring the media
  • event management
  • collating, analyzing and evaluating media coverage
  • crisis management
